Information for Participants:

A safe, supportive space for change

At Alevia Recovery. Reform. we understand that entering a behaviour change program can feel overwhelming especially if it’s been recommended by a lawyer, the court, or a community agency.

Our programs are designed to support you through that process with respect, confidentiality, and practical guidance.

We’re not here to judge; we’re here to help you understand yourself, take responsibility, and move forward with stronger tools for the future.

ll programs are delivered one-on-one, online via secure Telehealth so you can attend from home or anywhere that feels comfortable and private.

Each session is confidential and conducted by a qualified professional such as a psychologist, social worker, or counsellor with experience in behavioural change and trauma-informed care specific to your program.

At your first session, your practitioner will:

  • Explain what to expect from the program and how it works

  • Talk through any court or agency requirements (if applicable)

  • Help you identify personal goals and areas you’d like to improve

  • Answer any questions you might have about confidentiality, reporting, or attendance

Participation is important and forms part of your overall progress.

You’ll need to attend all scheduled sessions, which are offered flexibly during the day, after hours, and on weekends to make it easier to fit around work, family, or other commitments.

If your participation is part of a court order, parole condition, or community justice agreement, we can provide attendance confirmation and progress reports to your lawyer or supervising officer but only with your consent or where required under a formal order.

We aim to make participation accessible to everyone, removing barriers like travel or availability.

Each program runs for 8, 12, or 16 weeks, depending on your circumstances or referral requirements.

You’ll work through:

  1. Understanding your behaviour – identifying triggers and patterns

  2. Developing insight – learning how thoughts and emotions drive reactions

  3. Learning new skills – using strategies to stay calm, communicate better, and make safer choices

  4. Reflection and accountability – understanding impact and planning for change

All programs are trauma-informed, culturally safe, and designed to help you build self-awareness, stability, and control.

Your privacy matters.

All sessions are strictly confidential unless you have given written consent.

If your involvement is linked to a court order, bail, or parole condition, attendance may be verified directly with your consent or as required by that order.

If information must be shared under a legal or safety obligation (for example, risk of harm to self or others), your practitioner will discuss this with you whenever possible.

Cancellations & Non-Attendance Policy

We understand that unexpected things can happen. However, to maintain fairness and consistency, the following policy applies to all participants:

  • 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel a booked appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in the session being recorded as non-attendance and reported to your referrer, supervising officer, or agency (if applicable).

  • Repeated non-attendance without reasonable explanation may affect your program completion or compliance status.

  • If you miss a session, contact us as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling and maintaining progress.

This structure ensures accountability and fairness for all participants while keeping the program aligned with justice and clinical expectations.
